Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) Team
At Marigold Equestrian Center, our IEA Hunt Seat Team is about more than competition. It’s about learning together, encouraging one another, and growing both in and out of the saddle.
Our team trains together under the guidance of Jay Moore, creating an environment where riders build confidence, sportsmanship, and lasting friendships. One of the most rewarding parts of coaching this team is watching each rider grow over the years — not only as equestrians, but as supportive teammates and individuals.
This fall marks our sixth year as a team, and we’re excited for another incredible season together.What We Look For
We believe great teams are built through encouragement, consistency, and positive attitudes. Riders joining our IEA Team should bring:
• A positive mindset and willingness to learn
• Strong sportsmanship and team support
• Determination and a desire to grow
• Commitment to regular attendance
• Participation in lessons at least twice per month
Why Riders Love IEA
IEA gives students the opportunity to compete without the major expenses often associated with horse showing. Riders draw horses provided by the host team, which helps create a level playing field while teaching adaptability and horsemanship skills.
